Join us Saturday for the release of Company Man, a refreshing German-style pils!
Our production manager, Chris, studied brewing in Germany. He helped develop our Schwarzbier last year, and we thought the result turned out great. Chris has wanted to brew an Ardent pils for a long time, and we’re excited to finally bring this beer to you. There’s a reason why pilsners are so popular worldwide: the style is so drinkable and sessionable. We feel Company Man, with all-German hops and malt, is a culmination of everything we’ve learned.
And the name? Thank Greg “The Growler King” Self for that. Whenever we asked him what he was drinking the past few months, he’d answer, “I’m just a company man, I’m drinking our IPA.” When it came time to brew the pils, the guys in the brewery won Tom over to secure an ever-elusive Ardent beer name.
Tasting notes: The Company Man pils is straw colored and very clear, with a creamy, long-lasting head that leaves rich lacing. The classic lager aroma is clean and bready, with a noble hop note and light grassiness. The medium-light body and high carbonation accentuate the bitterness, along with mild, balanced flavors of malty sweetness, fruitiness, and grassiness. Overall, a crisp, refreshing German-style pils that finishes dry and clean. 5.0% ABV, 36 IBU.
Company Man will be available on draft only. We’ll be selling a limited number of half-liter dimpled mugs for the occasion to give you the full pils experience. ZZQ will be here with their Texas craft barbeque from noon until they sell out, and Intergalactic Tacos will join us with tacos and Tex-Mex at 4pm. Come have a beer!
