Event Coordinator/Taproom Shift Manager

**This is a unique hybrid role that combines taproom management and event coordinator duties**

The Event Coordinator will manage all major events, beer releases, food truck scheduling, and party bookings for Ardent’s Scott’s Addition taproom. They will also be responsible for responding to taproom inquiries received from the public.

The Event Coordinator will work with the other managers at Ardent to establish budgets, deliverables, and timelines for the various events planned across the year and will then be responsible for coordinating all work according to the established parameters.

The Event Coordinator will also work in the taproom as a Shift Manager. Responsibilities will include opening and closing the taproom, handling cash, providing excellent customer service, and managing taproom staff.

The Event Coordinator will receive general direction and guidance from the Taproom Manager. The Event Coordinator is expected to work independently to determine the proper planning, organization, and tracking necessary to accomplish the various goals as set out by the Taproom Manager and consistent with the responsibilities of this position.

Volunteers – Seasonally around major events

Bachelor’s Degree
1-2 years event planning experience

BJCP certification (within one year of hire)
Cicerone certification (within one year of hire)

Technical Skills/Requirements
Strong understanding of event planning
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and strong planner
Moderate understanding of beer styles and brands
Moderate understanding of brewery process and procedure
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
Proficient in Google Suite applications

The employee in this position works at a computer approximately 25% of the time. The Event Coordinator must have reliable transportation, and be available to work on a flexible schedule, often working nights, weekends, and holidays.
