Berliner Weisse Release Day

One of our favorite summer beers is back: join us for the release of Berliner Weisse on May 20th!

We first brewed Berliner Weisse last summer as a refreshing, low-ABV option for the hot months. This classic German wheat beer is native to Berlin—popular legend has it that Napoleon's troops called it “the champagne of the North." In the tradition of the style, we offered a variety of syrups, made by King of Pops, to add to the beer. We really enjoy this sessionable, tart wheat beer, and were so happy last year at its reception. Even for some staff, summer and the Berliner's return couldn't come soon enough this year!

Tasting notes: The Berliner Weisse is pale straw colored, cloudy, and pleasantly effervescent. Sourness dominates the aroma, with notes of lemony tartness. Light body and high carbonation complement the clean sour flavor with notes of lemon and citrus, and the 3.2% ABV allows a hint of the malt profile to shine through. 3.2% ABV, 4.5 IBU.

Once again, we'll offer fun flavored syrups by King of Pops to add to the Berliner Weisse, including fruit syrups supplied by Agriberry. The first syrup available will be blackberry orange, featuring local Agriberry blackberries. ZZQ will be ready with Texas craft barbeque at noon, and Continental Divide's Divide Ride taco truck will join at 4pm. Stop on by!
